Punch it Chewie!

The journey starts this morning.

I didn't get much sleep, as I expected, which contributed to be sure to this state of overall numbness.
Or is it the fact that the wait is finally over, that there is no more room on the plank, and that that final step into the unknown can no longer be postponed?

Don't get me wrong, I am not fearing what is to come.
I know I am going to face many new situations, in another culture and language; but this does not hamper in the least my will to go and explore this new universe.

Because I won't just be spending four days marveling at pictures, models and costumes, I will literally be stepping into a larger world, where Star Wars is not just a successful movie.
This is such a drastic change from what I am used to see here in France, that I am feeling like that farm boy about to enter Mos Eisley, and embark for the adventure of a lifetime.

The big difference is that I will only meet friendly faces in that cantina :)

  1. I assure you that the sheer size and, how can I say it? TOTALITY of the Star Wars experience is like nothing you've ever experienced. But, like you say, it'll be that much better for being in the company of good friends.

  2. Just remember the quote you need when faced with stormtroopers and other security forces is ""I'm" not the droid you are looking for"
